Happy Halloween! (almost)
I know I’m getting ahead of myself a little, but I REALLY wanted to carve a pumpkin and eat delicious soup. There’s no shame in that! Laura Lee came to visit last weekend to see the house and hang out. On Saturday we ventured to the Greensboro Flea Market and then on to Kentuck in Northport, AL. It was truly the perfect autumn weekend.
On Friday night we had a few people over for dinner and then to carve pumpkins. We moved one of our desks to the front yard, and Danny COVERED the table in votives and tealights so we could see our meal. It was really amazing. The butternut squash soup turned out yummy and Danny actually pulled off his grilled cheese experiment. He wanted to see if he could literally grill grilled cheese on our new picnic grill. Great success actually! The only issue was that the sandwiches were done cooking in about 20 seconds, so a few of them were especially cooked

…and we’re back!
The trip was so incredible! It took me a ridiculously long time to post the final 4 days once we got home, but its done now! Everytime I look the the posts and pictures I can hardly believe that we were fortunate enough to have experienced all that we did.
